Nature Coast Agri-Summit-agri-business conference announced

Category: Press Releases       Posted By: Denise Gallagher       Year: 2017

Are you looking for a way to make money with your small farm or acreage? Then the Nature Coast Agri-Summit is a must attend event!

Nature Coast Agri-Summit is a regional small farms conference to share practical ideas for making a profit off the land. This one-day event is hosted by Citrus County UF/IFAS Extension on Saturday, April 22 in the conference center at the College of Central Florida, Lecanto.

Successful agri-businesses and other experts will be on hand to share ways to expand your business with value-added products, farmer’s markets, farm-to-table restaurant marketing, and eco-tourism opportunities.  At the end of the day, participants can acquire new ideas for their business and a solid plan for their business along with tools for creating a business logo, a fleshed out social media marketing campaign, and fresh ideas for a business website. Trade show vendors will be on hand throughout the day.

A panel discussion includes operators experienced at growing locally and marketing nationally, for hosting of events and festivals of all sizes (from hay rides to a 40,000 visitor agri-festival creator).

Not sure what exactly you want to grow?  Step through this decision with an expert on choosing the enterprise that’s right for you. Hear how to assure a safe and marketable product whatever you choose to raise.

Registration begins at 8:00am. Sessions run from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Pre-registration is STRONGLY encouraged.  Early bird registration is $25 for adults (which include lunch) by April 7.  Register at https://agrisummit2017.eventbrite.com or by sending check (made out to University of Florida) to 3650 W.
