Setting up an Escrow Account

Step 1 Contact the Building Division to set up a Company ID # with an account. You will provide the company name, address, phone number, e-mail address, etc. and the account will be established. A login and password will be also be provided by the Building Division.
Step 2 Once you have contacted the Building Division and have set up a Company ID # , account and password, your next step is to set up an Escrow Account with the Office of Management and Budget at the Cashier Desk (352) 527-5227 or (352) 527-5440. An escrow account may be utilized to provide immediate payment. This will save all involved in the process, time and money.
Step 3 Next, you must make an initial deposit into your new escrow account. The initial deposit to establish the escrow account is $200.00, however you may deposit as much as you choose. You will want to ensure that there are adequate funds in your escrow account at all times. Once the escrow account becomes low, you must replenish it with a check. You may also deposit money into the escrow account via a debit or credit card. If you elect to use a debit or credit card, there will be a small additional fee.
