Applications must be completed and returned by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Late applications will not be accepted.

The Citrus County Tourist Development Council is a nine member advisory board whose members are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. The TDC develops the plan for tourism development and marketing and makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners for the use of Tourist Development Tax Revenue.
The makeup of the TDC is governed by state statute 125.0104. Six members of the council are persons who are involved in the tourist industry and who have demonstrated an interest in tourist development. Of those six, not less than three or more than four are owners or operators of tourist accommodations in the county and subject to the Tourist Development Tax. One member is a representative from the Board of County Commissioners. Two members are elected municipal officials.
The TDC meets at 3600 W. Sovereign Path, Lecanto, FL in room 166 at 9:00 A.M. Meetings take place every 2nd Wednesday of the month. The first meeting of each year is in January. Please contact the Visitors & Convention Bureau at (352) 794-5506 with any questions.
