Virtual Strategic Planning Events
Due to unforeseen staffing changes at UCF's Florida Institute of Government, our Citizen Forums for the Strategic Plan have been postponed to January 2022. We are hopeful that the events will be able to be held in-person at that time.
Please watch this space for more information!
How will this Virtual meeting work?
Zoom is very user-friendly and easy to use. You can click a link and connect via computer at home, cell phone, or at one of these libraries: Inverness Branch, Homosassa Branch, Central Ridge Branch. We will engage in the same questions and large group discussion, and small group breakout discussions, just like we would in person.
How do I RSVP?
Registration information will be updated as soon as new dates are set for January 2022.
When will I get the Virtual Zoom meeting link?
After you RSVP, about 3 days prior to the event you will receive instructions and suggestions to test your Zoom settings.
Do I need to buy/download any software for this?
You do NOT need to download or install Zoom if you use your computer/laptop – simply follow the link. If you use your smartphone, you will need to download the Zoom app from your respective app store on your phone. It is free.
What technology will I need?
- Computer/laptop with a web camera and microphone or smartphone. This will allow workshop attendees to engage & interact and be seen/heard during the meeting. If you do not have a web camera, you will be heard but not visible in the meeting.
- Strong/high-speed internet connection
What if I have technical issues?
If you experience technical difficulties while joining the Zoom workshop, or during the workshop, you will be provided a UCF number in the RSVP confirmation email to contact for assistance. The UCF consultant will provide a basic Zoom overview at the start of the program to help you navigate it. We will ask everyone to please log in 10-15 minutes early to ensure your technology works, and to ensure we can start on schedule.
Do I need to attend both dates?
No, the questions/content will be the same; please only RSVP for one date.
Do I need to attend the entire time (9am-1pm)?
The questions and activities build upon each other from 9:00am-1:00pm, so we encourage you to attend the entire session. However, if you need to arrive late or leave early we still invite you to either attend the OTHER date, or attend the portion that you’re able.
We look forward to hearing your comments and feedback for the Citizens Forum for our Strategic Plan!
