Sidewalk Closure on W. Gulf to Lake Highway
The sidewalk along the south side of W. Gulf to Lake Highway/State Road (SR) 44 is closed between
W. Hightower Lane and W. Crystal Oaks Drive. This closure will remain as construction activities
are performed.
During these operations, the sidewalk along the north side of W. Gulf to Lake Highway will remain
open to pedestrian traffic. Traffic control devices and signs have been established to mark the
closure. Please obey all posted work zone signs to travel safely through the area.
This work is part of the construction of the Suncoast Parkway 2/SR 589 from US 98 to SR 44. This
Florida Department of Transportation project is anticipated to be completed in Summer 2022. Please
note that this schedule may change due to inclement weather or unforeseen conditions.
