Museum Presents Free Children's Programs in February

The Old Courthouse Heritage Museum presents free “Kids’ Corner and Crafternoons” events for children on the first and third Saturdays of each month. The event on February 4, 2023, will feature the artists of art Oasis as special guest hosts. Families who visit may want to plan for extra time to see the local artist group’s exhibit, “Glimpsing Paradise: Visual Art Inspired by Visionary Poems,” on display through Thursday, March 16. Kids between the ages of 5 and 14 are welcome to come and follow along to learn how to create their own stencils and develop valentine gifts and keepsakes. This two-hour program will begin at 10:00am.
On February 18, the museum will host another Free Family Board Game Day in the historic courtroom from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Available games include chess, checkers, Citrusopoly, Ticket to Ride, and Timeline.
Parents and guardians should pre-register for these events by calling the museum. Children must be supervised by their accompanying adults during the entirety of each of these programs.
