County Parks Reopen All Amenities

County announces the reopening of all ballfields, soccer fields, basketball, shuffleboard, hockey, and racquetball courts, dog park, and skate parks

Citrus County Parks and Recreation announces the reopening of all County ballfields and soccer fields, basketball, shuffleboard, hockey, and racquetball courts, dog park, and skate parks as of Friday May 29, 2020.

Field and court reservations will be taken over the phone by calling 352-527-7540 or through our online reservation system. Please go to https://apm.activecommunities.com/citruscountyparks.

 Youth and adult teams are limited to practices only. No games will be permitted at this time. Dugouts and concession stands will be closed until further notice. Youth teams can permit for two practices a week for a maximum of two hours for each practice. Adults can permit for one practice a week with a maximum of two hours to practice.

Federal and State social distancing/gathering guidelines remain in place. Social distancing of six feet is necessary to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Staying physically active is one of the best ways to keep your mind and body healthy; however, we must do it safely.

The CDC, as a reminder, encourages reducing the spread of respiratory illnesses by practicing everyday preventative actions, including:

•             Stay at least 6 feet away from others
•             Wash your hands often for at least 20 seconds
•             Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
•             Practice routine cleaning of frequently touched surfaces
•             If you are sick, running a temperature, or were recently exposed to COVID-19  STAY HOME
