Welcome to the Citrus County Purchasing Department's web site. The mission of the Purchasing Department is to procure goods and services in accordance with the County’s Purchasing Administrative Regulations, in a fair, transparent, and ethical manner. The Department ensures that County funds are expended in a fiscally responsible manner and that all commodities and services are procured at the lowest possible cost in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

The Purchasing Department procures all non-construction related goods and services, as well as all good and services not exempt from the Purchasing Code that are valued at $5,000 or greater. County Departments have the authority to procure goods and services valued less than $5,000 through a decentralized purchasing process. The procurement of goods and services is accomplished through various methods including, but not limited to, Invitations for Bid (ITB), Requests for Proposal (RFP), and Requests for Quotation (RFQ).

Solicitations/ Vendors

We are excited to announce, effective July 1, 2020, we will begin a partnership with VendorLink to transition into a new vendor management notification system. VendorLink is a user-friendly Internet portal where businesses can sign-up to register and receive electronic email notification of upcoming solicitations as they become available. This online registration service allows suppliers to provide basic information about their business and to select specific commodity codes for the goods and services they provide.

When a solicitation matching those selections becomes available, the VendorLink system automatically sends an email notification to the email address provided during the registration process. The email notification contains the link and information necessary for the solicitation to be viewed and downloaded from any computer. Just complete the registration information to receive solicitation announcements for projects in excess of $35,000.

In addition, we will be implementing electronic bid submittal through VendorLink and you must be a registered vendor in order to submit proposals or bids.

The registration process is simple and detailed instructions can be found at:

https://www.myvendorlink.com/external/home

There is NO COST to Vendors to register or to submit bids. Please register as soon as possible so that you have uninterrupted access to our bids and the notification of our solicitations.
