Citrus County by  promoting: water conservation inside & outside the home, Florida-Friendly Landscaping and other water conservation practices via: homeowner education, speaking at club and organization meetings, and distribution of educational materials.

Citrus County was recognized in 2023 for sustained excellence in support of the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency’s WaterSense® program.
