Citrus County Animal Services in Need of Donations, Fosters

Citrus County Animal Services (CCAS) is currently experiencing shortages in their pet food pantry.
This pantry is a fantastic community resource that can, in some cases, help owners keep their pets
rather than surrendering them to the shelter. In all cases, it helps owners feed their pets in
times of hardship.

Please consider donating new bags or cans of unopened cat and/or dog food. Items can be delivered
to Citrus County Animal Services, 4030 S Airport Rd, Inverness, FL 34450. Donations can also be
dropped off at any Citrus County Library System location: Central Ridge (Beverly Hills), Coastal
Region (Crystal River), Floral City, Homosassa, or Lakes Region (Inverness).

CCAS is also in need of loving citizens who are willing to open their hearts and act as fosters,
providing temporary homes to stray kittens. Learn more about their “Fabulous Foster Program” by
emailing Leigh Sweet at leigh.sweet@citrusbocc.com.

The animals available for adoption at CCAS are listed on the Citrus County website:
www.citrusbocc.com. This site is updated in real-time and has the most up-to-date listings of
animals available for adoption, so check back frequently for updates.

If you would like to donate, are interested in fostering, or are considering adoption, please
contact CCAS at (352) 746-8400 or email Colleen.Yarbrough@citrusbocc.com.
